A Trek Through Amazing Portion of Incredible India's Coastline

The trekker instinct rided over the photographer mind this year. Most of it all through, it has been ups and downs along the mountains altitude and my attitude, mimicking the life events..!
While the beaches always takes me through nirvana, the infinite views reminds of the unlimited possibilities and idea of paradise within. The feel of the "The Sky above, Sand Below and the Peace within"
This Beach trek has itched in my mind and wish list for a while, what better than on year end, the cool winters and sense of accomplishment of the year just passed by.

Serenity is understatement @  Mangodlu
The Kumta to Gokarna beach trek is a hike between two towns in the Uttara Kannada district – Kumta to Gokarna. The trek starts from Kumta beach & goes all the way up to Gokarna beach, passing umpteen beaches en route.
The trek alternates between beaches and hilly terrain and walks you through some of the most scenic beaches in India. Most of these beaches are “virgin”, meaning they are untouched by tourists and are inaccessible by road, making the trek all more interesting and worthwhile.

Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate
Distance: 21 Kms (Including Ferry Ride)
Best time: Oct to Feb
DIY Trek: Yes
Trail type: Sandy beach hike, nomadic walk, forest trail and stone boulders climb

A guide may be required if you don't want to explore yourself, as some paths are not well marked, you might have to follow natural instinct of direction and climb the rocky trail.
Route Path
The start point of the trek is kumta beach, it is a calm fishing beach, not so touristy, from here just follow the path all along the beach with the maps towards the direction of Gokarna.

After some beach, rocks and road trail, you will arrive to the crowded fishing beach called Vannalli, it has a fishing village attached to it, so not so neat it is. But you can experience the life of fishing folks.
Vannalli Beach
Next is mangodlu, it is serene untouched beach, it doesn't have access via road, you have to trek over mountain to reach, so hardly any human presence.

Trail though rocky terrain
On the trail on one of the rocky mountains, will find this "slice of haven" view point, it is beautiful rocky mountain where waves hit the rocks hard..!
A little Slice of Heaven
After paradise beach, the trail goes over the mountains for 3 kms, and it lands in to the aganashini river ferry port. There is ferry available for every 15 mins, they carry 2 wheeler and people, not cars.

Forestline breaking the Heaven Beach
Finally reached gokarna for the new year eve and joined the party on the Kulde beach. One of the main happening beaches in Gokarna is Kudle, whole lot of shacks, similar to goa.

And the beach blast ..New year eve..!
